Even at the end of March, Warth can still score with lots of natural snow with lots of hours of sunshine. In this way, skiing fun is guaranteed until Easter.

More than 80 lifts are still open and offer skiing fun on over 300 kilometers of slopes. The snow depth is currently 165 cm on the slope on the mountain and 115 cm on the slope in the valley. And best of all: snowfall has been announced again for the first week of April!

We are still open for you until April 15th – so nothing stands in the way of a skiing holiday with your family at Easter!

Why is skiing in Warth still possible so late in spring?

The Warth-Schröcken ski area is known for its guaranteed snow.

We owe this above all to the good geographical location. Both in terms of the altitude at over 1,500 meters and the position itself. In this context, the north-west congestion position is often mentioned.

What does this northwest location mean? To put it simply: full clouds are coming from the Atlantic – i.e. from the north-west – and meet an obstacle for the first time with the Arlberg. In order for the clouds to be able to climb the mountain, they have to shed ballast in the form of snow. That’s why there’s plenty of natural snow in Warth every winter.

Since many slopes face north, the snow has a good grip and therefore such north-facing slopes are particularly popular with skiers and ensure better skiing pleasure.

So visit us at Hotel Steffisalp and enjoy a few wonderful days of skiing at the end of the season.
Our 4-star hotel is located directly on the piste at the valley station of the chairlift in Warth.
