Countless leisure and mountain hiking trails, vibrant green Alpine pastures, and a lot of peace and quiet. What else could you want? That’s right: mountain huts! The most beautiful spots in our mountains are home to quaint Alpine meadows and huts.

Mountain huts on the Hochtannberg

Along the leisure and mountain hiking trails, you can find countless mountain huts and Alpine pastures, and some of them are even older than Warth itself. From home-brewed schnapps to home-made cheeses and freshly baked bread, they have everything a hungry hiker could ever want. Your well-earned lunch break will taste even better when you have a panoramic view of the mountains from a spacious sun terrace. Our favorite huts in Warth-Schröcken am Hochtannberg are:

Punschhütte | 1.850 m

The spacious sun terrace at the Punschhütte on the Hochtannberg in Vorarlberg is the perfect place to unwind. Their specialty is their home-made strudel, but if you are after something savory, you have to try their delicious leberkäse meat loaf. You can reach the Punschhütte from the Steffisalp Express top station in 10 minutes.

Biberacher Hütte | 1.840 m

Situated under the cover of the Künzelspitze, the hut’s local mountain. It not only forms an intersection between the Bregenz Forest, Großes Walsertal and the Lechquellen mountains to the north, it also unites countless hiking trails. The Biberacher Hütte is the perfect starting point for conquering the Rothorn or Braunarlspitze mountains.

Auenfelder Hütte | 1.762m

A rustic hut at the midst of the natural beauty of the Hochtannberg mountain. In both summer and winter, you can enjoy your well-earned lunch break on the sun terrace or in the cozy, rustic inn with a tiled stove.

Hochalphütte | 2.000 m

A rustic hut at the midst of the natural beauty of the Hochtannberg mountain. In both summer and winter, you can enjoy your well-earned lunch break on the sun terrace or in the cozy, rustic inn with a tiled stove.

The home-made strudel means that it is definitely worth a visit!
