Prepare for emergencies at the avalanche rescue training center

To make sure that you are prepared for all situations, there is a state-of-the-art LVS Trainingcenter for avalanche preparedness, very close to the Sporthotel Steffisalp****. Under the professional instruction of the ski and mountain guides at the ski and snowboarding schools in Warth and Schröcken, you can learn how to properly use an avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. The hour-long hands-on course is held on Mondays and Sundays (bring your own equipment), free of charge. The LVS-Station [avalanche safety station] is in operation daily during the ski resort opening hours and can be used free of charge.

FreerideTestival

At the “FreerideTestival Warth-Schröcken powered by BMW xDrive” from March 16 to 17, 2019, amateurs and aspiring freeriders can find everything they could want. The line-up at Testival includes not only difficult “heart and kidney tests” for the brand new skiers of the season; in the free, two-hour SAAC courses, participants also learn essential information about finding people buried in avalanches, and together with professionals and local guides, they can explore the most beautiful and spectacular freeriding routes on the Arlberg. All freeriders with a valid ski day pass may participate in the events at Testival free of charge.
